Bulk-Billed telephone consultations are now available at Diggers Rest Medical Centre.

The process for phone appointments is:

  1. Book an appointment online at our website or Health Engine and choose (Telehealth) from the reason for visit or call our centres directly on 9012 7301 to book an appointment.
  2. Check that you have a valid Medicare card
  3. When it is time for your appointment, the Doctor will ring you directly on your mobile number.
  4. Once the appointment is completed, the Doctor will print any documents required eg: a script, referral, Medical certificate, Workcover certificate, TAC, Centrelink certificate etc. We can then send these to you via fax or e-mail, you can collect them from us or we’ll post them to you directly.

*Please note that you must have a valid Medicare card to book a phone consultation and you must have seen one of our doctors (face to face) in the past 12 months.

As of Monday 30th March, ALL consultations will occur via Telehealth (phone or video call consultation with the GP) - no patients will be permitted into the clinic unless they have attained prior approval by the GP.

Telehealth now covers more essential services such as Chronic Disease Management, Health Assessment, Mental Health treatment, repeat scripts, referrals, test results and more.
